Park & Partner News

Happy Holidays to Yosemite Staff and Partners,

We had a wonderful year here at Yosemite National Park because of your
exceptional efforts.  With your dedication, the park continues to receive
the stewardship that it deserves.

For me, the holidays are a time to give thanks and an occasion to reflect,
be with family and friends, and enjoy special moments.  I am truly grateful
and inspired because we work in such a magical and extraordinary place.  I
also admire park staff that care so deeply about public service and the
long-term health of this park.  I want to personally thank you for your
dedication to the national park mission—a lofty charge to preserve the
nation’s treasures for future generations.   Because Yosemite National Park
is truly one of a kind, I am often overwhelmed by the passion park visitors
and staff members have for this iconic spot.  I often reflect on last
spring when the waterfalls, white clouds, snow laced mountains, and crystal
clear blue skies at Glacier Point led me to believe that maybe this spot
offered one of the most beautiful and inspiring scenes in America.

Patty and I, with our two labs, Guy and Ruby, and family will be spending
Christmas here in Yosemite.  We hope your holiday adventures and dreams
come true and you have some moments to enjoy your family and friends.  I
look forward to a seeing you in 2011 and hearing about your holidays.

Wishing you a safe holiday,

Don Neubacher, Superintendent

Last Week's Progress, Parking, and more:
On Wednesday (12/15), the contractor worked to install PV panels
