The Slope fire is kicking up lots of smoke today and looking like it is really growing. The smoke is blowing east into the the 10 Lakes area and then into the Tuolumne River drainage west of Glen Aulin were it joins the smoke from 2 other fires. Then all this smoke is blowing up into the north end of the park around Matterhorn Peak.

Slope Fire: Found late July 25, this fire is approximately one mile northwest of Harden Lake in an area of frequent fires: 1985, 1996, 1999, 2002, 2005 and 2009.
