Yosemite Daily Photo, Photo of a Rare Endangered Species

Yes the lowly Yosemite Parking Space is a Endangered Species as hundreds perhaps thousands have disappeared from the park over the years.

This spot in Tuolumne Meadows simply vanished the other day as did 20 or so of its mates on the Tuolumne Meadows Lodge Road. Now they were getting out of hand as folks were over using them and not parking correctly so the cars were almost blocking the road. NPS came in and wiped them out instead of trying to manage them in a humane way.

Experts figure that hundreds if not more have vanished in Yosemite. Many have been replaced by buildings in areas like the Yosemite Lodge and Degnans emp housing areas. Another was ripped out at Lower Yosemite Falls.

A weird phenomenon also happens that has left experts baffled, strange rocks have appeared where there was once a parking space. NPS is investigating.

What ever the reason is for their disappearance the are sorely missed and this has caused a strange effect, hundreds of cars driving in circles searching for the rare Yosemite Parking Space.
