This is a very rare event where you ice skate on Tenaya Lake. The road is usually closed due to snow and the lake is snow covered. This year has no snow and low temps enabling the lake to freeze. The ice was 4 to 3" thick.

The 1st segment is skating on the Dana Fork.

A time lapse of Yosemite Falls illuminated by the full moon on the night of 6/14/11.

Time is from 9:30pm to 11:08 pm. I was hoping to catch the moonbow but it did not show up from this angle. Also note all the hikers headlamps on the Yosemite Falls Trail on the left. There is also a pair of headlamps coming down the steep slabs on the right which is a climbers trail.

2 Paraplegics, Mark Wellman and Jon Arnow , sitski across the SIerra Mountain Range from East to West over a 3 day and 2 night trip of 50 miles. We carried our own gear and traveled in a self contained fashion. This is the final version in HD. Rick Sylvester came along and joined in on the fun. We had Toulumne Meadows and the Yosemite High Country to ourselves for 3 days and it was a joy to be cross country sitskiing carrying our own gear and moving with only the power from double poling with our arms.
