Trying out the GO PRO HD Hero

Pretty boring footage but it is a test of the Hero HD helmet cam. It shows me climbing up Table of Contents, a rock climb on Stately Pleasure Dome above Tenaya Lake in Tuolumne Meadows. It is a fairly easy climb protected by bolts drilled into the rock. At some places I tried to pan around so you get a view of Tenaya Lake.

Some clips of cooling off in Tenaya Lake with Stately Pleasure Dome and then Tenaya Peak in the background and then cooling off at a waterfall in Yosemite Valley.

A time lapse of 1527 photos, 1 hour and 40 minutes, compressed into 30 seconds. Taken from Foresta, Yosemite and is looking east into Yosemite Valley with the top of El Capitan visible through the 2 pine trees on the right.

Here are some clips of the heavy traffic found at Yosemite National Park on 7/2 &3/10. The 1st clip is of the construction on the 26 mile section of Hwy 41 from Yosemite Valley to Wawona Entrance Station. I would avoid this road at all costs as it is rough, dusty with long delays Mon through Friday. The speed limit is 25mph although you are often stuck behind folks in fancy cars going 15mph. Or you will be stuck behind several buses spewing diesel and dust, a great mixture. This construction is to last all year. Next we have the daily traffic jam on Hwy 120 at the long tunnel where folks just stop in the middle of the road to take photos with out any regard for all the cars behind them. The last clip which is sped up, is the mile long line to get in the Hwy 140 entrance gate, Arch rock. This was at noon 7/3/10
